The Location
THE BEECHES is easily accessible from any direction given its close proximity to the A35, M5, A303 and A30.
FROM THE M5 to Junction 28 (Collumpton) and exit onto the A373 to Honiton following the signs for A35 Dorchester. 9 miles from Honiton you see a sign for Kilmington. Start indicating to turn right here and turn into The Hill opposite a bus shelter. At the road junction turn right past the Common and The Beeches is on the left opposite the farm.
FROM THE M3/A303 to the Southfields (Taunton) roundabout at Illminster where you take the 3rd exit onto the A358 to Chard. Follow the A358 through Chard to Axminster and at Axminster follow signs to the A35 Honiton. On seeing the sign for Kilmington and passing a pub called the Old Inn on the left there is a bend with a road going straight up. There is a war memorial at the junction of the two roads. The road on the left is Shute Road.
Carry on Shute Road, keeping the Common on your right, The Beeches is on the left opposite the farm.
It is approx ¼ mile from the A35 to The Beeches.
